Tagliatelle ala carota by Abi Smith
Ingredients
- 350g tagliatelle
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, grated
- 250g sosmix (made-up weight)
- 1 tin tomatoes
- 1/4 pint veg stock
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Pack of short crust pastry
Method
- Cook 350g tagliatelle.
- Fry onion, add Sosmix and fry a little more.
- Stir in carrots and cook a few minutes.
- Add tomatoes, stock, bay leaf and oregano.
- Cover and simmer gently about 1/2 hour.
- Season & mix with cooked pasta.
Where to buy
Sosmix is very hard to find but the online Vegan Store, Alternative Stores are still supplying the original Sosmix in new 500g, 1kg, 5kg & 10kg bags. You can order online for delivery, usually next day within the UK, or they ship worldwide.
We have also found several health food stores selling sausage mixes with the label “sosmix” but its not the original Sosmix so beware of imitations like the Granose or Suma sausage mixes.
