Burgamix Vegan Breakfast Muffin
Ingredients
- 2 breakfast muffins
- 100g Sosmix
- 160ml water
- 1 block of tofu, sliced into circular shapes
- Vegan cheese slices
Optional:
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
For the Tofu Egg Marinade:
- Soy milk
- Nutritional yeast
- Garlic powder
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Tumeric
- Salt & Pepper
- Black Salt (Kala Namak)
Method
Prepare the Sosmix Patty:
- Combine sosmix with water, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili flakes (if using) in a bowl. Mix well.
- Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to firm up.
- Shape into patties and lightly fry in an oiled pan over medium heat. Cook each side until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Marinate and Cook the Tofu:
- In a shallow dish, prepare the marinade by mixing soy milk, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, salt, pepper, and black salt.
- Soak the tofu slices in the marinade for at least 20 minutes.
- Lightly fry the marinated tofu slices in a non-stick pan until they are crispy on both sides.
Assemble the McMuffin:
- Toast the breakfast muffins lightly if desired.
- Start with a slice of vegan cheese on the bottom half of the muffin.
- Add the cooked sosmix patty, followed by a slice of crispy tofu.
- Top with additional cheese, sauces, or other toppings as desired.
- Cover with the other half of the muffin.

Where to buy
Sosmix is very hard to find but the online Vegan Store, Alternative Stores are still supplying the original Sosmix in new 500g, 1kg, 5kg & 10kg bags. You can order online for delivery, usually next day within the UK, or they ship worldwide.
We have also found several health food stores selling sausage mixes with the label “sosmix” but its not the original Sosmix so beware of imitations like the Granose or Suma sausage mixes.
